Why see Cirque Kalabante?

A Cirque Celebration of Guinea

Cirque Kalabante takes the audience on a journey to the African nation of Guinea via the thrill of the circus! Cirque en Afrique is the company's show celebrating the Guinean diaspora and the colors, culture and music which the country's people have brought to the world. With stunning sets and colorful traditional and contemporary costumes, there's jaw-dropping acrobatics, high-flying feats and splendid, entrancing dance, all set to the sounds of live music from modern Afrojazz to traditional West African rhythms and beyond.

The show is the brainchild of Yamoussa Bangoura, a multidisciplinary artist who is a master acrobat, kora player (a traditional West African musical instrument), dancer, juggler and aerial strap artist. A tribute to the day-to-day life and contemporary youth culture of Guinea, Cirque en Afrique is a truly unforgettable performance to witness!
